Built right into the upload, add a Background removal step to any workflow. Process one image or two thousand. Studio-white, transparent PNG, or any solid color, preset-driven, batch-safe. It skips assets that are already done, so you never pay to re-run.
When an asset attaches to a product, it gets a semantic role. The Shopify connector knows which image is the HERO. The Bol push sends the SWATCH for color variants. The marketplaces that take 3D get the MODEL_3D. The print PDF gets the TECHNICAL spec sheet. Right asset, right channel, automatically.
Assets don't attach to products, they attach to variants by attribute. Drop the olive jacket image, tag it color: olive, and every olive variant inherits it. Add XXL next season, the image is already there. Less click, more ship.
Per-channel presets define width, height, fit (cover / contain / fill / inside / outside), format and quality. The pipeline applies them as a fan-out from the master. Bol wants a 2000² white-bg JPEG. Shopify wants 2:3 4000px WebP. Both come from the same upload. Both look right.
The 3D model step takes a folder of product photos, builds a textured GLB, applies lighting presets, renders frames out for channels that don't accept 3D yet, and stores it all in DAM with the right role tags.
